Founders Story

 

 

 

Cruelty Free Cosmetics was found due to the difficulty in locating animal and eco friendly cosmetics in Ireland. 

 

As a long term vegetarian and environmentalist, I was dynamically looking for cosmetics that I knew were definitely not tested on animals, were vegan and eco-friendly. 

 

Even when I saw 'not tested on animals' or 'we're against animal testing' etc on products, I would always question, 'how do I know'? 

 

From my earlier research while working on my Facebook page 'No To Testing On Animals', I knew that even if the company who produced the product didn't test on animals themselves, they could get other companies to test on their behalf.  Also, if a company sells their products to certain parts of the world for example China; China's laws state that all cosmetics imported have to be tested on animals.  Therefore, most of the major cosmetic companies have their products tested on animals at some stage.

 

Knowing this, I decided that people needed to be able to access cosmetics easily and KNOW that what they're buying are 100% animal friendly.  After a worldwide search I found companies that I knew I could 100% trust.  Their vegan products (using no animal derivatives) are very natural, which makes them kinder to you skin.  They are also eco-friendly using recycled and bio-degradable materials.

 

So today I am the very proud owner of a business that is so close to my heart and I look forward to being able to supply these products to not only Ireland but to overseas customers too.
